Making the most of Neko Harbor

01

Arriving at the port

With no berth available for cruise ships, passengers reach land aboard inflatable Zodiac tenders.

02

Sightseeing

Little remains at the Andvord Bay landing to show that the floating whale-factory ship Neko once worked here. Whale vertebrae may be visible, used by resident Gentoo Penguins as windbreaks, and Argentina has built an unmanned refuge hut. Continue past the hut and climb the steep hillside for impressive views across the glacier-fringed harbour.
