Arriving at the port

Tokushima’s main cruise terminal is "Tokushima Komatsushima Port". Located in Komatsushima, it forms the gateway for cruise passengers arriving in the city.

Downtown Tokushima lies approximately 10 kilometers (around 6.2 miles) from Tokushima Komatsushima Port. Depending on traffic, the drive takes about 20-30 minutes.

Available Transportation Options

Taxi: readily available at the port; convenient, but relatively more expensive.

Shuttle Services: cruise lines often provide direct, hassle-free downtown transfers. Public Transport:

Local buses may operate, although using them might require an understanding of routes and schedules.

Mount Bizan: popular with locals and tourists, it provides panoramic city views and has a ropeway to the summit.

Awa Odori Kaikan: devoted to the Awa Odori dance festival, one of Japan’s best-known traditional dance festivals, this museum offers live performances and even participatory dance lessons.

Tokushima Castle and Museum: within Tokushima Central Park, the castle ruins and adjoining museum offer insight into regional history.

Ryozenji Temple: the famous 88-temple Shikoku Pilgrimage route starts at this temple.

Shikoku Mura: traditional rural buildings from across Shikoku Island are displayed in this open-air museum.
