01

Arriving at the port

The Port of Tarragona has an exclusive berth for cruise ship traffic where four cruise ships can moor at the same time in addition to the Port Tarraco marina for smaller cruise vessels.

The cruise terminal in Tarragona is located in the Port of Tarragona. The distance from the terminal to the downtown area is approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles). While it's a bit far for a comfortable walk, taxis and sometimes shuttle services are available to transport visitors from the terminal to the city center.

A new cruise terminal is in operation since May 2024, and can accommodate four cruise ships simultaneously.

Tarragona is a very pleasant, very small city with their own La Rambla, their own gothic/old quarter, many Roman ruins and museums to visit.

Spend some time exploring the Medieval old town – a spiderweb of little lanes that lead up to the city’s honey-colored cathedral.

02

Getting around

All of Tarragona's sites are within walking distance of the train station. Taxis and local trains can take you further.

Nearby places

Barcelona is just an hour’s drive away. Fairy tale architecture, Gothic churches and pocket-sized tapas bars decorate the city.
