Seoraksan National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of South Korea’s most iconic natural landmarks. Explore its hiking trails, lush forests and picturesque waterfalls, then take the cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress for panoramic views across the park and East Sea.

For a bird’s-eye view of Sokcho and its surroundings, visit Sokcho Expo Tower. Its observation deck has stunning vistas, particularly at sunset.

Walk or cycle at leisure around Yeongnangho Lake, Sokcho’s serene freshwater lake. The setting is especially attractive in autumn as the leaves change colour.
