Arriving at the port
Seogwipo-si lies on Jeju Island’s southern coast. Most cruise ships berth alongside at Seogwipo Port’s cruise terminal, although tendering is occasionally used when ship size and traffic require it.
The main town centre is only a short drive from the cruise terminal.

Sightseeing
Jeju's second-largest city is Seogwipo-si. Its appeal includes a mild climate, lush scenery, UNESCO World Heritage natural sites, volcanic landscapes and waterfalls flowing straight into the sea.
Jeju Island is often referred to as the “Hawaii of Korea.”
Visit Jeongbang Waterfall, one of the few Asian waterfalls that flows directly into the ocean. It is easy to reach from town, offers beautiful coastal views and makes an excellent photo spot.
Getting around
Seongsan Ilchulbong is one of Jeju’s best-known landmarks: a UNESCO-listed volcanic crater with a short but steep climb to the summit, spectacular panoramic views and the appeal of a popular half-day excursion.
Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is another beautiful cascade, surrounded by subtropical forest. It has easy walking paths, is scenic and peaceful, and is illuminated at night.
Food and shopping
For local street food, fresh seafood, souvenirs and traditional Korean snacks, visit Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market. It is a great place to sample authentic Jeju flavours.
Money
The currency is the South Korean Won (KRW).
