Arriving at the port
San Salvador Island Cruise Terminal is usually used by cruise ships. On the island's western side near Cockburn Town, it is well equipped with a range of amenities for passengers.
Cockburn Town, the island's main settlement, is relatively near the terminal: 2 miles (3 km) to its center, reached by a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk for those up to it.
For history and culture, visit Christopher Columbus Monument, The Queen's Staircase, and Cockburn Town's few museums and churches for insight into the island.
There are plenty of beaches.
