Arriving at the port
Cruise ships typically dock at the San Salvador Island Cruise Terminal, located on the western side of the island near Cockburn Town. The terminal is well-equipped to handle cruise ship passengers, offering a range of amenities.
The cruise terminal is relatively close to Cockburn Town, the island’s main settlement. It's about 2 miles (3 km) from the terminal to the center of Cockburn Town, which can be reached by a short taxi ride or even a pleasant walk if you’re up for it.
Historical Sites: Visit historical sites such as the Christopher Columbus Monument and The Queen's Staircase. The town has a few museums and churches that provide insight into the island’s history and culture.
