Making the most of Celebration Key
Use these notes to shape a realistic day ashore, then confirm any time-sensitive information for the date of your call.
Arriving at the port
Celebration Key is the first private destination designed by Carnival Cruise Line for CCL guests. The pier, located on the Grand Bahama island, will be able to simultaneously accommodate two Excel-class ships (Carnival's largest).
The island is seperated into 5 zones ("Portals")-
The Guest Services portal (Paradise Plaza) is where you can sort out your days adventure. It has an excursion desk as well as an ice cream vendor and occassional live music.
The family-friendly portal (The Starfish Lagoon) offers beach access to the lagoon pool, a splash pad, a pair of racing waterslides around the sandcastle structure, sports courts, a beach with loungers and a variety of dining options. The area also has variety of cabanas, including beach cabanas, floating cabanas and villas with personal slides into the pool.
The Adult-friendly portal (The Calypso Lagoon) has a high-energy vibe courtesy of a DJ, said Carnival. This area also features a swim-up bar, access to the lagoon pool and the opportunity to lounge on a white-sand beach and swim in the Bahamian waters. There is a variety of cabanas similar to those offered at the Family-Friendly Portal, plus several dining venues, including a full-service restaurant serving a variety of cuisines. Some dishes contain traditional Bahamian flavors.
The Private Club portal (The Pearl Cove Beach Club) offers an adults-only premium experience for guests seeking a relaxing day. The private club contains an infinity pool overlooking the sea with loungers beneath palm trees, a dedicated section of the beach with premier and private access, and an elevated dining experience.
The Lokono Cove portal represents the local Bahamian culture. It features Bahamian artisanal goods and local Bahamian retailers, along with duty-free stores (specifically jewelry). Enjoy local Bahamian flavors while enjoying murals painted my local Bahamian artists for a more traditional experierence.

Getting around
No transportation is needed due to it being a self contained resort.
Food and shopping
Celebration Key offers both complimentary food and paid food options. Food trucks and stands are set up throughout the island and offer most of the complimentary food. Paid options such as Mingo's Tropical Bar and Gill's Grill not only provide more varied food options but a uniquely themed experience.
Money
Guests can use the Carnival Sail & Sign card for purchases at dining venues, bars and rentals. US dollars are also accepted and most areas will also accept credit cards and NFC mobile payments.
