Arriving at the port
Relatively undeveloped and naturally attractive, Andros Island offers cruise visitors a distinctive experience in the Bahamas.
Ships generally berth at Morgan's Bluff on North Andros Island, a small cargo port that can also receive cruise vessels. Alternatively, a ship may anchor off Andros Town and take passengers ashore by tender.
Andros Town (Nicholl's Town) is the main community near Morgan's Bluff. It lies approximately 5 miles (8 kilometers) from the port and can be reached by taxi or hire car.
The island is celebrated for blue holes, the underwater caves or sinkholes represented by places such as Blue Hole National Park and Captain Bill's Blue Hole.
The Andros Barrier Reef is the third-largest barrier reef on Earth.
