Arriving at the port
Zelenika is a small harbour and customs entry point in Zelenika village, part of Herceg Novi municipality on Montenegro's Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska).
For Cruise Ship Anchorage, local authorities have been working to permit large cruise vessels to anchor offshore near Zelenika. Smaller boats would tender passengers ashore for excursions around Herceg Novi and the Bay of Kotor.
As of 2024/2025, direct cruise-ship berthing at the quay is not yet fully established because of regulatory and property processes; the proposed solution is anchoring off-shore.
Money
The euro is the local currency. However, Montenegro does not belong to the Euro Zone or, indeed, even the EU. Smart thinking by the government!
