Arriving at the port
Zelenika is a small port and customs entry point located in the village of Zelenika, in the municipality of Herceg Novi on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska) in Montenegro.
Cruise Ship Anchorage: Local authorities have been working to allow large cruise ships to anchor offshore near Zelenika, with passengers tendered ashore by smaller boats for excursions to Herceg Novi and the Bay of Kotor.
As of 2024/2025, cruise ship docking directly at the quay is not yet fully established due to property and regulatory processes; anchoring off-shore is the planned solution.
Money
The local currency is the euro. Montenegro however is not part of Euro Zone, in fact not even part of the EU. Smart thinking of the government!
