Arriving at the port

Skyros is an island in the southern Sporades Islands of Greece. The main town is also named Skyros, but is known locally as the Chora, as are the main towns on numerous other Greek islands.

The cruise ships and ferries arrive at Linaria Harbour, the principal port on Skyros, a scenic island in the Northern Sporades in the Aegean Sea.

It’s on the southern/eastern side of the island and serves as the primary gateway for visitors arriving by sea.nic island in the Northern Sporades in the Aegean Sea.

02

Sightseeing

Skyros’ port is small, charming, and very traditional — not a large commercial terminal like in bigger cruise destinations.

During the day it’s typically quiet and picturesque, and in summer evenings it becomes a lovely place for a stroll by the water with ambient lights and occasional cultural activities

03

Getting around
