Arriving at the port

The port is located in the town center of Sibenik. Tenders will be used to get you ashore. Printable map

Sibenik is famous for its Cathedral of Saint Jakov, a three-aisled basilica with three apses and a cupola 32 meters in height. Construction of the cathedral was begun in the Venetian Gothic style, but was completed in the Toscana Renaissance style. More than 15 decades ensued from the time the decision was made to commence construction, from 1402 up to its final consecration in 1555.

Everywhere in the city is within walking distance.

Nearby places

Take a swim! Beaches around Šibenik (Solaris, Žaboric, Grebaštica, Brodarica, Jadrija, Srima...) are extremely clean and fun (although sea in Šibenik bay itself isn't very clean). You must try the beach game of picigin, an invention of nearby city of Split's youth. All you need is shallow, sandy or not so stony beach, small ball and company. The aim is to hold a ball as much as you can up in the air, and you're allowed to use all body parts.

Opening Hours and

Banks and post offices are generally open from 7AM to 7PM without breaks, and public offices from Monday to Friday from 8AM to 4PM. During the tourist season, post offices are generally open until 9PM, including Saturdays.

Shops and department stores are open from 8AM to 8PM without breaks.

Since 2009 shopping hours are not regulated anymore, therefore most stores in tourist destinations are open 7 days a week.
