01

Arriving at the port

Most ships will tender you to The Old harbor which is within walking distance to town.

The old town harbor is very picturesque.

Rovinj (Rovigno in Italian) is one of the last of the true Mediterranean fishing ports. Prayers for a good catch are sent forth at the massive Cathedral of St Euphemia, whose 60m tower dominates the peninsula.

For centuries has Rovinj been turned to the sea. It gets there its wealth, way of life, mentality, development and future. But this town has known how to preserve its nature and accept, at the same time, all the challenges of modern tourism.

Balbi's Arch: This historical gate, built in the 17th century, marks the entrance to the old town. It’s a great starting point for exploring the historic center.

All the Rovinj coast and the surrounding twenty-two islands and islets are a protected natural heritage.
