01

Arriving at the port

Rhodes' beautiful old town is a very short 5 min. walk from the ship, and the port has a large competitive duty-free store.

Take a printable map with you.

With more sunshine hours than any other Greek island, Rhodes is prized for its fascinating past and glittering sandy beaches. Inside the citadel's ancient walls stands the Medieval city of the Knights of St John, including the mighty Palace of the Grand Masters and the 15th-century Hospital of the Knights, now an excellent archaeological museum. It has an elevator for disabled visitors, though the second floor has a few steps.

02

Getting around

A 30 minutes walk through walled Old Town, or 10 minutes along the harbor front, reaches Rimini Square, from which buses and taxis leave for other places. See the Taxi Pricelist.

Rhodes has a hop on/off bus, departing Tourist Harbor at the Cruise terminal from 10 am at hourly intervals, for 12 Euro.

A little tourist train circles Rhodes Town, and the attractive Old Town has a free shuttle.
