Arriving at the port
For cruise‐ship scale, this port is not large compared with major cruise terminals; large vessels likely restrict access or anchoring.
Sightseeing
Euphrasian Basilica: A UNESCO World Heritage site, this 6th-century basilica is one of the most important cultural landmarks in Croatia. It has stunning mosaics and beautiful architecture. Definitely a must-see for history and art lovers.
The old town is charming, with narrow streets, Venetian-style buildings, and lots of cafes and shops. You can take a leisurely stroll, explore the Roman and medieval structures, or just relax at a seaside cafe.
If you're into archaeology or just want to learn more about the town’s long history, the Poreč Museum is a good stop. It’s located in a historic building and features artifacts from the Roman and medieval eras.
Getting around
If you have a bit more time, you can take a boat trip to the Brijuni Islands, a national park that's home to beautiful nature, wildlife, and some Roman ruins. It’s a bit farther out but worth it for nature lovers.
The town is very walkable, so it’s easy to explore at your own pace, and since it's a popular cruise stop, you’ll find plenty of excursions to join if you'd rather not explore on your own.
