Arriving at the port
Pingtan International Cruise Home Port is the principal cruise terminal on Pingtan Island. It stands in Aoqian Town, within the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
Downtown Pingtan is approximately 15 kilometres (about 9 miles) from the cruise terminal. Depending on traffic, the drive generally takes around 20-30 minutes.
Taxis and shuttle buses are readily available at the cruise terminal to carry visitors downtown and to other attractions across the island. For greater freedom while exploring, hiring a car is another possibility.
Tannan Bay is known for beautiful sand dunes, clear water and unspoilt beaches, making it an ideal place to relax, swim and enjoy water sports.
Getting around
Explore Haitan Ancient City, a historic district whose well-preserved buildings and cultural displays offer a view into the island's past.
