Lovely Parga curls around a sandy beach between two rugged outcrops. An amphitheater of candy-colored houses ascends the slope to a Venetian Castle. The hills surrounding the town are dotted with quaint churches and forested with ancient olive groves, some of the largest olive trees in Greece.
Getting around
Active guests love the Acheron River Safari adventure. Others enjoy a stroll through the town and playing from the marina in the afternoon.
Nearby places
Visit the Venetian Castle of Parga for panoramic views of the town, or for a day trip, make your way to Zagoria for its two national parks and Vikos Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. Closer to Parga, there’s also the archaeological site Nekromanteio of Acheron, which dates back to 14th century BC and is believed by ancient Greeks to be one of the entrances to Hades.
Food and shopping
In the summer, Parga's streets are packed with tourists in the narrow passages and the coffee shops that line its promenade. There is a multitude of tourist shops and tavernas.

Public Services: open Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm. Retail Stores & Specialty Shops: Monday to Friday, 9am – 1.30pm and then again from 5pm – 9pm. Saturdays, 9am – 2pm. Supermarkets: Monday to Friday, 9am – 9pm, and Saturdays, 9am – 6pm. Tourist Shops and Convenience Stores: most of these do not have official opening hours and are usually open from dawn to well after midnight during the summer months.
