Arriving at the port
The port is located in the harbor town of Adamas, on the north side of Milos Bay.
Most larger ships anchor and use their tenders to get the passengers ashore.

Milos Island lies in the Aegean Sea mid-way between Athens and Crete. It is also known as the 'island of color' because of the colorful beaches, rocks and waters, due to the island's volcanic origins. It is also where the center-piece of the Louvre in Paris, Venus de Milo, was found.
Getting around
From Adamas port many boats set off daily, that cruise around the island, visiting a large number of beaches which are accessible only by sea, such as Kalamos and Kleftiko, where you can swim in their crystal clear waters. Apart from visits to beaches, you will take a tour to some of the most beautiful sights of the island, such as Glaronissia, Arkoudes, Sykia and a stop will also be made at the nearby island of Kimolos.

Milos has over 70 beaches. The most famous beach of the island is the one at Sarakiniko where the soft limestone has been carved smoothly by wind and water to form a beautiful sculptural landscape. It is packed with bathers and snorkeling people every day of the summer, and it, along with Kleftiko, must be the most visited sites of the island.
The town of Plaka, the capital, is just 5 km away on a hill overlooking the sea, and with its typically Greek white-washed houses, a Frankish castle on the ancient acropolis, a folk art museum and an archaeological museum, and a well preserved theatre, must be visited.

Public Services: open Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm. Retail Stores & Specialty Shops: Monday to Friday, 9am – 1.30pm and then again from 5pm – 9pm. Saturdays, 9am – 2pm. Supermarkets: Monday to Friday, 9am – 9pm, and Saturdays, 9am – 6pm. Tourist Shops and Convenience Stores: most of these do not have official opening hours and are usually open from dawn to well after midnight during the summer months.
