Killybegs is a bustling town where local and foreign ships tower over the quayside. With large numbers of both trendy and modern restaurants, traditional pubs, Killybegs offers the visitor a variety of good food, entertainment and a warm welcome.

Above the harbor area is the old Donegal Carpet Factory building where the world famous hand crafted Donegal Carpets were manufactured. Today the building is home to the Killybegs Maritime & Heritage center.

02

Getting around

Usually when the cruises come in there will be music in the village bars and you could relax in one of them after getting around prior to going back to your ship. Also the tourist office can be reached by a local minibus that cost 5 Euro.. They are very helpful and might have more suggestions for you.

03

Fees are not generally charged by Irish ATMs (but beware that your bank may charge a fee).
