Arriving at the port

This is a tender port, with tenders dropping passengers in the centre of town.

Dingle (An Daingean or Daingean Uí Chúis), around 50 km southwest of Tralee, is the Dingle Peninsula’s only sizable town in County Kerry.

Slea Head Drive is a scenic coastal route with Atlantic views, rugged cliffs, ancient ruins and beautiful beaches. It also passes Dunbeg Fort, the well-known prehistoric clifftop fortress.

Dingle Oceanworld, in the heart of town, is an aquarium displaying the abundant marine life of Irish waters. It is a good choice for families and those wanting to learn more about the area’s aquatic ecosystems.

Whiskey lovers can visit Dingle Distillery for a guided tour explaining how whiskey is made. Tastings are available, allowing visitors to sample the distillery’s award-winning spirits.

Getting around

Fungie the Dolphin is a much-loved Dingle resident. This wild bottlenose dolphin has lived in waters near Dingle Harbor since the early 1980s, becoming a major attraction and an emblem of the town’s close relationship with the sea.

Dingle Harbor offers boat tours specifically for observing Fungie.
