Arriving at the port
This is a port for smaller cruise ships. The dock is in the center of Itea.
Itea is the port used for trips to Delphi. It is a very quiet, pretty little port, not much there, very few shops, beach with no facilities but fine for a swim, some nice cafes and bars.
Getting around
A return trip by taxi to Delphi cost around 60 euro per taxi, including a 3 hour stop for visiting the sights. There will be plenty of taxis in port.
Nearby places
Delphi, The archaeological site of Delphi is an UNESCO World Heritage site near the modern village of the same name in Greece. In ancient times it was the site of the most important oracle of the god Apollo.
Mount Parnassus, is a mountain of limestone in central Greece that towers above Delphi, north of the Gulf of Corinth, and offers scenic views of the surrounding olive groves and countryside. According to Greek mythology, this mountain was sacred to Apollo and the Corycian nymphs, and the home of the Muses.
Food and shopping
The pretty towns of Delphi and Arachova offer tavernas and shopping as well as great views from the side of Mount Parnassus.

Public Services: open Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm. Retail Stores & Specialty Shops: Monday to Friday, 9am – 1.30pm and then again from 5pm – 9pm. Saturdays, 9am – 2pm. Supermarkets: Monday to Friday, 9am – 9pm, and Saturdays, 9am – 6pm. Tourist Shops and Convenience Stores: most of these do not have official opening hours and are usually open from dawn to well after midnight during the summer months.
