Arriving at the port
On July 16, 2024, the Philippine government introduced a ‘cruise visa waiver’ to simplify entry for visa-required foreign visitors holidaying aboard cruise ships. Those eligible can apply through the Bureau of Immigration's (BI) e-services portal.
The ship anchors offshore and tenders guests to Quezon Island for a full day of beach time, picnics and island hopping.
A small number of gazebos and toilets are provided.
Despite the name, this Philippine National Park contains 124 islands. Formed from the remains of an ancient coral reef, they create an attractive maze for small-boat trips, whether snorkelling or looking for wildlife such as crab-eating macaques, civets, dolphins, occasional dugongs and several species of sea turtle.
Money
The Philippine peso is the currency used locally.
American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are accepted broadly at major businesses in the Philippines' larger cities. ATMs are also available.
