01

Arriving at the port

The town center is within walking distance of the port.

Now a days the midsized cruise ships can anchor up east of Bjoernoe, and the smaller ones can go alongside the quay in the ferry harbor – smack in the heart of town!

The local tourist information puts up a tent where they give out advice and free maps as orientation.

Cruise schedule Faaborg.

Faaborg is a lovely town and has a very nice and pituresque town center with shops and restaurants.

Enjoy the narrow streets and the small houses in the center of town between the town hall and the church tower. Look into the yards of the old trading companies or take a trip to one of the many manor houses or cartels in the surrounding area or take one of the small ferries to some of the many smaller islands in the archipelago. Even the Danish Alps are to be found only 1½ mile from the town center.

02

Getting around

The Bus Station is only 150 meter from the Cruise Ship Landing. From there you can take a bus to “anywhere”. The bus ride to Hans Christian Andersen’s House in Odense takes 1 hour each way.

03

Money

Denmark is not part of the EURO-monetary system, but major shops will probably give prices both in Danish kroner and in EURO (€). Most major international credit cards are accepted in Denmark.
