Arriving at the port
Reach Delos by cruise-organised excursion, mainly from nearby Mykonos but also from other Cycladic islands, or by ferry.
Delos (Greek:?????, Dhilos) lies near Mykonos at the centre of the roughly circular Cyclades. It is among Greece’s most significant mythological, historical and archeological sites, with some of the Mediterranean’s most extensive excavations, ongoing under the French School at Athens.
The 2001 Greek census recorded 14 island residents. Administratively, it belongs to the municipality of Mýkonos.
Getting around
During high season, ferries leave Mykonos for Delos at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 am; the return departures from Delos are at 12:15, 1:30 and 3:00 pm. The 15 euros fare covers the outward and return ferry journeys and the island museum.
Greek archeological sites do not open on Mondays.

Public Services open Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm. Retail Stores & Specialty Shops open Monday to Friday, 9am – 1.30pm, then 5pm – 9pm; Saturdays, 9am – 2pm. Supermarkets trade Monday to Friday, 9am – 9pm, and Saturdays, 9am – 6pm. Tourist Shops and Convenience Stores generally have no official hours and in summer are often open from dawn until well after midnight.
