Transgender people travelling to Saudi Arabia are likely to face significant difficulties and risks if this is discovered by the authorities. However: MSC Cruises is determining how to approach this, but confirmed that gay cruisers are definitely not banned from entering the Kingdom and sailing.

Sharia law prohibits public observance of any religion other than Islam. So check your jewellery. If you are Jewish, you are allowed to visit the Kingdom, but not if you have an Israeli passport or a stamp from a visit to Israel.

Al Wajh is a city situated on the coast of the Red Sea and is known for its pristine beaches.
The city has numerous mosques, all of which are distinguished by their stunning architecture. Inside the city, there is also a fort called Al Wajh Castle, which was built in the 1870s. The castle was used as a fortification to protect Tabuk and later as government headquarters. Today the castle has been fully restored and turned into a museum that features the town's history. From the top floor of the museum, visitors can also enjoy a stunning view of the port.

A three-hour drive from this coastal city takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hegra and Al-Ula. Hegra is a forgotten city of the ancient world, hidden in plain sight. This site was designated by UNESCO for its incredible preservation abilities and seems to be lost amongst sand dunes that date back centuries ago when it served an important role as one piece within another larger puzzle – the Nabatean civilization.
Continue the exploration to the ancient city of AlUla with its citadel dating back to the 10th century. The old town has 900+ brick houses and 400 shops, with plenty of alleyways to explore.
