Limbe, with Victoria as its old name, lies on a beautiful bay beneath a major mountain range. Its black-sand beaches make Limbe, alongside Kribi, one of just two coastal towns popular with Western tourists. Notable sights include the Limbe Wildlife center, Limbe Botanical Gardens and a German Bismarck tower nearby. The town beside Atlantic Beach has good sea-bless at most hours of the day; its climate is something to experience around town rather than talk about. Limbe is by far the country’s best nightlife region and is considered its best touristic city to visit…

02

Nearby places

Limbe’s best beaches lie north of town and are known by their distance from Limbe. Mile 6 and Mile 11 are popular, but the best beach is in Batoké village at Mile 8, where lava flows from Mt Cameroon’s eruption a few years ago are still visible.

03

Outside stores and restaurants, bargain for everything: offer 20-50% of the initial price.

04

Cameroon uses the Franc, controlled by the bank of Central Africa.

05

Staying connected
