Known as the adventure's pier, “Saco da Ribeira” provides a safe haven for hundreds of boats in every size. Its complete marina infrastructure includes banks, bars, restaurants, handicraft shops and pharmacies, while the pier is recognised for diversity and easy access.

The town itself offers little beyond its handsome waterfront promenade.

Approximately 70 nautical miles from Santos port and 110 nautical miles from Rio de Janeiro port, Ubatuba Cruise Port lies on the route of any cruise ship calling at Rio de Janeiro or Santos, or travelling south towards Cape Horn. It offers a relaxed, rewarding and cruise-focused port option.

Ubatuba has over 100 beaches, with 92 on the mainland and 10 on its islands. Its appeal extends beyond the sea to dozens of waterfalls, clear rivers, eco-hiking trails, remarkable views and beautiful backdrops within the best-preserved part of “Mata Atlantica”.

Local “Schooners” provide one of the best ways to experience the richness of Ubatuba's coastline, with numerous trips leaving different beaches for “Saco da Ribeira”, “Praia da Enseada”, “Lazaro” or “Itagua”. Many boat tours visit islands, including famous “Anchieta” with its former prison ruins and the paradisiacal “Promirim” and “Couves”

Also called the “Surf capital”, Ubatuba hosts many national and international contests. Beaches with waves of different formation and intensity are considered “heaven” by beginners, amateurs and professional surfers.

Most shops and businesses keep basic hours from 9am to 6pm, with a long lunch break from around noon until 2pm.
