Ships berth at one of the city's docks: Broadway Dock at the end of Broadway, Railroad Dock at the town's southern end or Ore Dock at the end of Main Street. Some smaller vessels use Ferry Dock. Shopping, restaurants and historic districts are a short walk from every berth.

The docks have no free Wi-Fi. Buying an item at particular downtown businesses provides an access code.

Skagway Municipal and Regional Transit SMART bus: pay the driver $5 per person for an All Day Pass or $3 per person each way. Shuttles follow a loop every 20-30 minutes, stopping around town at places including Gold Rush Cemetery and Jewell Gardens. Wheelchair-accessible buses with ramps are available.

The 2-hour Skagway Street Car Tour leaves the pier daily from May through September at 8:30 am, 10:45 am, 1:15 pm and 3:30 pm. These multiple convenient departures make the tour very easy to combine with other Skagway activities during the day.
