Arriving at the port
As a tender port, passengers are brought into the town center.
The town edges 36 kilometers of unspoilt coast, beneath acres of natural forest and Esterel Mountain range's terracotta-colored peaks. Dramont beach is particularly popular with families.
Getting around
Walk narrow picturesque streets with shops, cafes and historic buildings, then visit the iconic Church of San Rafeu.
The beach is easily reached on foot.
Nearby places
St Raphael provides easy access to St Tropez, a French Riviera elite hotspot of expensive boutiques, smart restaurants and luxury yachts. Nearby twin city Frejus, the Romanesque city, is also worth visiting.
Food and shopping
St Raphael has many farmers’ markets, with stalls offering fresh flowers, punnets of berries and homemade cheeses.
Across the road from the promenade, cafes and bars provide people watching: relaxing for adults but not good for kids. Town has a few shops, though most close Sunday.
