Arriving at the port
The new dock is located at the Porto Corsini waterfront, between the yacht marina, the beaches and the pine forest. A beautiful natural setting that perfectly matches with the cheerful and vibrant atmosphere of Marinara, the biggest yacht marina of the Adriatic sea. Next to the cruise ship dock you will find a beautiful beach and a small town. During siesta (1pm-4pm) the town however closes completely. If you take the small ferry (1 euro) from Porto Corsini to Marina di Ravenna you can visit the Marina and a few fish restaurants. The port is at least a 20 minute drive from Ravenna. In 2024 a new terminal will be built by RCL Cruises Ltd. The new cruise terminal will showcase integrated landscaping, spanning 12 hectares, with public green spaces, pedestrian and cycling pathways, and entertainment areas for residents and visitors.

The international heritage of Ravenna, city of mosaics, has been recognized by UNESCO. Eight monuments built over a period of 1500 years have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Located at the Via Galla Placidia, the Galla Placidia Mausoleum is a must-see. It is in the heart of city center.

Getting around
Ravenna itself is a walker's paradise. Nice city to wander around, sit at an outdoor cafe and see museums.
Take the self guided tour of the churches adorned with the mosaics. There are 6 churches in the ticket price for around $9 euros. Due to cruise restrictions in Venice, Ravenna is becoming more important as a base to visit Venice.
Nearby places
Other attractions are within easy reach, including the museums of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati; San Marino, the oldest and smallest republic in the world; and Bologna and Florence. Cruise organized tours are your best bet here.
Food and shopping
An open market called Mercantino is a popular place to buy designer clothing and shoes at bargain prices.
Stylish fashions from all over Italy are available in the small boutique style shops. You won't find big stores here as you would in Milan or Rome, but there is a small town charm to them.

At the little terminal annex security check building there is a small office where the shuttle tickets are being sold. After around 11am this office turns into a free WiFi spot with excellent connections.
Opening Hours and
If you want to do any shopping, be aware that the shops in Ravenna observe a siesta from about 12:30 to around 4pm when the only things open are small bookshops and cafes. Sunday openings are rare.
