The port is part of a modern resort/marina community, built and developed in the early 2000s.
If your cruise line uses Port Ghalib as a port of call, the port can handle international arrivals because of the customs/immigration office.
The marina promenade offers restaurants, cafés, boutique shops and a relaxed waterfront vibe.

Sightseeing
The setting is more resort/diving-oriented rather than a bustling historical city port. So you may want to plan accordingly: enjoy the water, the resort ambience, the Red Sea marine life rather than expecting a large city centre.
