Europe’s deepest lake, Hornindalsvatnet (514 m deep, is just a 10-minute bus trip from the centre. Take the Loen Skylift Cable Car will lift you from the fjord to 1011 m. Enjoy the views of the fjord landscape - from the restaurant table, or while exploring in the mountains.
The main attraction in Nordfjordeid is Norway´s largest known vikingship, Myklebustskipet presented in the Sagastad Vikingcenter only 10 minutes walk from the Sea Walk. The ship is believed to date back to year 800 and has been reconstructed in full size by local boatbuilders. The Sagastad Center is open 08.30 a.m. to 16.30 p.m. every cruiseday.
