Arriving at the port

This attractive, boot-shaped stretch of coast sits an hour's drive south of Melbourne, yet feels far removed from the big smoke.
Mornington is the largest town on the Mornington Peninsula, with a long main street running down towards the beach and pier. The beachside town is growing rapidly with the expanding population around it and on the Peninsula, but retains a lovely atmosphere and useful bus links to the rest of the Peninsula.
Getting around
Tour the Peninsula's boutique cellar doors and taste the region's noted pinot noir, as well as chardonnay, shiraz, pinot gris and pinot grigio.
