The distinctive GulfQuest National Maritime Museum stands about 200 yards from Alabama Cruise Terminal. GulfQuest is the country's first and only museum devoted to the Gulf Coast's rich maritime traditions from their discovery in the 1500s to today, and one of its few interactive maritime museums.
Colonial Fort Condé has come under Spanish, French and British control at different points in its history. Fort Conde now acts as the City of Mobile's welcome centre.
Bellingrath Gardens is a 65-acre estate that has remained open year-round since 1934. It includes the 2004 Top Public Rose Garden in the United States. Admission prices vary, and selected packages combine a river cruise with a guided Bellingrath Museum tour.
At Battleship Memorial Park, tour World War II battleship USS Alabama and World War II submarine USS Drum. The park also displays a substantial collection of aircraft and other military equipment.
