Arriving at the port
Liepaja is western Latvia's Baltic sea city and the administrative centre of Liepaja district. It is Kurzeme (Courland)'s largest city, Latvia's third largest after Riga and Daugavpils, and an important ice-free port.
Liepaja's cruise terminal is approximately 5 kilometers from town centre.
The centre is 15 minutes away on bus 10,11 or 15, or minibus 3. Allow for the walk between the terminal building and the street used by public transport.

Find amber, craft works and souvenirs at Petertirgus, the largest main central market. Annas tirgus in Jaunliepaja is smaller and open daily except Sundays; small markets at Silku/Kalpaka street corner and in Karosta offer cool soviet-style souvenirs and other interesting items.
