Arriving at the port
Cruise ships normally berth directly at the quay in the town centre.
The compact town is easy to explore alone. When ships call, tourist information and small shops are often open, and the pier is only steps from the main street.

Sightseeing
Leirvik is Stord’s main town, in western Norway between Bergen and Stavanger.
Sunnhordland Museum includes traditional wooden houses, coastal-culture exhibits, historic boats and local-heritage displays. It is a short taxi ride or pleasant walk from town.
Take scenic coastal walks along the harbour promenade and nearby forest paths, with fjord and island views. Leirvik is flatter than many Norwegian ports, making it especially easy to walk.
Getting around
Shore excursions commonly include scenic bridge drives to nearby islands, rural coastal villages, nature hikes and kayaking on calm fjord waters.
