Arriving at the port
Lamlash is a small shoreline village on Scotland's Isle of Arran in North Ayrshire, occupying an attractive position on Lamlash Bay in the Firth of Clyde.
Lamlash Pier, also called Old Pier, is the principal local harbour for boats and smaller vessels. Unlike a large city cruise terminal, it is modest, but appears on certain seasonal itineraries as a port of call or tender landing for smaller expedition and specialist ships.
Larger conventional cruise ships visiting the Isle of Arran generally berth at Brodick Ferry Terminal, the main ferry and cruise harbour on the island's east coast.
Sightseeing
Brodick town centre resembles a dozen other "Costa Clyde" resorts, with seafront Victoriana and a burst of traffic whenever the ferry arrives.
Brodick Castle is Arran's foremost attraction. Although it dates from the 14th century, most visible features are imposing baronial Victoriana. The site also has gardens and a country park.

Every bus route begins at Brodick ferry terminal and serves all island roads apart from Ross Road.
