Opening Hours and
Shops and services generally open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and until lunchtime on Saturday. In cities and larger towns, many shops open late on Thursday or Friday, usually until 9pm, as well as all day Saturday. Shopping malls often open on Sundays too.
In remote country areas, roadhouses offer essential services to the traveler and are generally open 24 hours a day on major highways. Even tourist offices in places well off the beaten track often open daily, or at least during the week plus weekend mornings; urban information centers more often follow normal shopping hours.
Museums, galleries and staffed historic monuments often open daily, though those in rural communities can have irregular opening hours.
