Making the most of Golfo Aranci

Arriving at the port
This is a tender port, with the tender dock in the town centre.
Sardinia's coastline is cut by deep coves of sparkling sea, rocky headlands and beautiful beach strands. The Aga Khan named the area Costa Smeralda after falling for it, creating a draw for the global glitterati. At Golfo Aranci, gleaming arcs of silver sand form a broader curve around a sturdy peninsula between town and sea. It looks expensive, and it is.
Getting around
In addition to the gulf's striking beaches, nearby options include Cala Moresca, Cala Greca, Cala Sabina and spiaggia Bianca. Very close by are the island of Tavolara's marine reserve and beautiful Capo Coda Cavallo.
The transparent, beautiful sea provides excellent opportunities for water sports, especially scuba diving.
The enchanting Cala Moresca and its pine forest can only be reached on foot or by bicycle.
The Sacred Well of Milis, dating from the Nuragic era, is among the area's most evocative archaeological remains.
