Hanavave, Fatu Hiva's other main settlement, is 17km from Omoa and sits beside the Bay of Virgins, considered one of the world's most beautiful bays. The ten-mile route between Hanavave and Omoa Village passes towering cliffs, waterfalls, steep gorges, valleys and luxuriant vegetation.

Fatu Hiva has no banks and credit cards are not accepted. It is best to carry local currency (XPF).
