Arriving at the port
Eidsdal is a scenic village in Fjord Municipality, Møre og Romsdal County, Norway. On the southern side of Norddalsfjorden, it lies about 7 km south-west of Sylte and 4 km west of Norddal, and acts as a gateway to the Geirangerfjord region.
Following local-regulation changes, some cruise lines have altered their programmes: Viking Cruises now substitutes Eidsdal visits for calls at Geiranger.
Sightseeing
Eidsdal forms part of "The Golden Route," the celebrated tourist route linking Eidsdal and Geiranger with Romsdal and Trollstigen.
The village offers outstanding views across Norddalsfjorden to the surrounding mountains.
Getting around
Eidsdal is easy to explore on foot, with many sights close at hand. For trips farther away, including Geiranger or Trollstigen, local buses and taxis are available but may run infrequently. Ask the local tourist information center for the most up-to-date transport choices.

The area is suited to hiking, fishing and photography, especially around Eidsvatnet lake.
