Arriving at the port
The new Wharf is within walking distance (2km) of the town center.
The Eden Welcome Centre is a new building located on the fisherman’s co-op site in Eden, facilitating the movement of over 100,000 cruise passengers to the local region each year. Here you can book local tours.
There are four transport companies that operate in Eden on cruise days providing Uber style private transfers to anywhere on the Sapphire Coast. There are also public buses that operate Monday to Friday that run from Eden to Pambula and Merimbula.
The Port of Eden is the classic Southern Gateway to the Sapphire Coast. A spectacular blend of golden sandy beaches and crystal blue waters enhanced by a lush and inviting backdrop of National Parks and forests.
Renowned for its endless supplies of fresh fish, the Port of Eden has long been considered the seafood capital of the region.
Sweeping Twofold Bay is the quiet host to whales in Spring. Between September and November each year, whale watchers charter boats to see these majestic creatures on their annual migration to and from the Antarctic. Humpbacks, Southern Right, Minke & Killer Whales cruise in for a feed and a catch-up.
While the days of the whaling industry are long gone, their stories are preserved high and dry in Eden's Killer Whale Museum, Davidson Whaling Station, Kiah Inlet, historic Boydtown and Seahorse Inn. All well worth a visit.

Getting around
There are several whale watching (October and November) offered at the main wharf, at other times you will see dolphins, fur seals and seabirds.
Food and shopping
Explore local markets for artisan goods and souvenirs, or enjoy a meal at one of Eden's cafes or restaurants, which often feature fresh local seafood.

Opening Hours and
Shops and services are generally open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and until lunchtime on Saturday. In cities and larger towns, many shops stay open late on Thursday or Friday evening - usually until 9pm - and all day on Saturday. Shopping malls are often open on Sundays as well.
In remote country areas, roadhouses provide all the essential services for the traveler and, on the major highways, are generally open 24 hours a day. In tourist areas, even ones well off the beaten track, tourist offices are often open every day or at least through the week plus weekend mornings; urban information centers are more likely to conform to normal shopping hours.
Tourist attractions such as museums, galleries and attended historic monuments, are often open daily, though those in rural communities may have erratic opening hours.
