Arriving at the port
Chioggia is a little-known gem lying 25 kilometres south of world-famous Venice.

Although not a major cruise port like Venice, Chioggia can feature on smaller cruise-line and river-cruise itineraries, allowing passengers to call here, explore the delightful town itself and discover the surrounding area.
In Veneto, Chioggia occupies a small Venetian Lagoon island. Less familiar than Venice, it offers an authentic, charming experience and is often called "Little Venice" for its canals, bridges and historic architecture.
Getting around
A Venetian Lagoon boat tour from Chioggia passes lagoon canals, islands and fishing villages including Pellestrina and Burano. Take in the scenery, learn about the lagoon ecosystem and see sites such as Burano's colourful houses.
