Arriving at the port
Baubau’s cruise terminal is located at the Port of Murhum in Indonesia. Its position relatively close to the city centre makes onward travel straightforward. Downtown Baubau is approximately 2 kilometres from the terminal, a distance easily covered by a short taxi ride or a leisurely walk.
Buton Palace Fortress, or Benteng Keraton Buton, is considered one of the world’s largest fortifications. Its historic setting and sweeping views across the city and sea make it especially worthwhile for anyone interested in history.
