Still under construction, al Khums is a very new port with docks but no terminal buildings and little road infrastructure. Leptis Magna is only 10 minutes away.

Libya's public holidays exclude Islamic religious observances, whose dates can change each calendar year according to sightings of the moon's various phases.
The dates are 28th March for British Evacuation Day, 11th June for Evacuation Day, 23rd July for Revolution Day, 1st September for National Day, and 7th September for Italian Evacuation Day.
