Making the most of Agropoli

Use these notes to shape a realistic day ashore, then confirm any time-sensitive information for the date of your call.

01

Arriving at the port

Agropoli is a small marina and tourist port on southern Italy’s Cilento Coast in Campania. Smaller and mid-size cruise ships can berth directly at the marina, while larger ships anchor and tender passengers ashore.

A visual introduction to the port.

02

Sightseeing

Agropoli’s historic centre and principal attractions are highly walkable, mostly within about 10–15 minutes on foot.

The town combines sea, history and culture, making it ideal for a half-day or full day from a cruise call.

Medieval Old Town (Centro Storico): explore narrow cobbled streets, attractive piazzas and local shops.

Castello Angioino Aragonese is a historic fortress overlooking the sea, with excellent views and photo opportunities.

03

Getting around

Paestum (UNESCO Site) is 20 minutes away and a highly recommended excursion. Its Ancient Greek temples are better preserved than many in Greece, and it has an archaeological museum. It is easy to reach by taxi or organised excursion, and is the area’s principal historical highlight.
